“What was that fish?” is a common question heard after a dive. If you want to be the scuba diver with the answers, instead of the one asking the questions, then take the Fish Identification Specialty course.
When you start diving you often have no idea what fish you are looking at. All you know is that you saw a a pretty cool and colorful fish. While you might recognize Nemo (anemone fish) and a turtle, most of the other fish just look like… well… fish. It’s time for the AWARE Fish Identification Speciality!
Identifying fish is a great way to start learning all about the new world you have discovered. Instead of thinking “what a pretty fish” you will actually know to identify characteristics of local fish families and species.
Upon completion, you will earn the PADI AWARE Fish Identification Speciality certification.
This course is typically completed over two dives in a single day. After meeting your instructor, you will review the relevant knowledge and theory before making two dives to gain hands on experience in looking for and identifying fish. Your instructor will advise which dive sites are the most appropriate for you.
Our diving courses on Gili Meno are all-inclusive and you will encounter no hidden costs during your diving journey.
Please note, the Gili Islands are located in a Marine Park. Therefore all divers are required to pay a one time Marine Park fee of 100.000 IDR. Our prices do NOT include this fee. We collect it in cash at our dive center on Gili Meno.

Our cancellation policy is flexible and we are trying our best to meet your holiday schedule and potential interruptions of it. If you book a course in advance but you are then unable to do it for prooven medical reasons, we will reimburse you of course minus admin and transaction costs.
