Want to finish your PADI Open Water Diver course with Divine Divers and experience the beautiful reefs around Gili Meno, while completing the skills and theory from the comfort of your own home to maximise the amount of free time you have during your vacation? Then the PADI Open Water Referral course is right for you.

Becoming a certified diver with the PADI Open Water Referral course has three phases:

Phase 1: Knowledge development – complete via e-learning or face-to-face classroom sessions with a dive club at home.

Phase 2: Confined water – Learn and practise all necessary scuba skills using Scuba equipment in a swimming pool.

Phase 3: Open Water – Complete four ocean dives with Divine Divers in Gili Meno to complete your training and obtain your Open Water Diver certification.

The Open Water Referral Course enables participants to complete the theory and confined water parts (phases 1 and 2) of the Open Water Course before arriving. This means, that you won’t have to study for your diving exam during your holiday. You simply complete the four open water dives with Divine Divers Gili Meno in order to get certified.

Schedule

The course schedule for the PADI Open Water Referral Course is flexible. We can adapt the course structure to suit your holiday plans. Generally, the course is completed over two (not full) days:

Day 1 (08:30 – 16:30)

• Meet your instructor, and check your scuba skills in the pool.
• Make your first ocean dive in the Gili Islands from one of our diving boats.
• Rest and grab a bite to eat for lunch in-between dives.
• Return to the water for your second dive of the day at a different dive site in the afternoon.
• Dry out, relax and prepare for another great day of diving.

 

Day 2 (08:30 – 13:30)

• Meet at the dive centre, and get ready to complete Open Water Dives 3 and 4.
• Dive down and explore two new dive spots with your instructor.
• Head straight to the bar for a cold drink to celebrate your successful completion of the Open Water Diver Course with Divine Divers on Gili Meno!

Please note, the waters around the Gili Islands have been declared a Marine Park. Therefore a one time Marine Park fee of 100.000 IDR has to be paid by all diving and snorkel tour participants. This fee is NOT included in our prices and has to be paid in cash at our dive center on Gili Meno.

Pre-Requisites

To enrol in a PADI Open Water Referral Course with Divine Divers on Gili Meno you must:

• Have completed the theory and confined water training.
• Bring a referral form from the sending dive center.
• Be 10 years or older. All divers up to the age of 14 years will be certified Junior Open Water Diver and there are some depth restrictions for 10- and 11-year-olds.
• Be fit to swim
• Complete a Diving Medical-Statement with us prior to any in-water activity.

We conduct our courses in line with PADI standards.

As Open Water Diver you are an independent diver. You will be able to dive unsupervised with your buddy to a maximum depth of 18 meters. The certification is recognised worldwide and is valid for your entire life.
