Diving on the Gili Islands has something for all taste buds. There are colorful and vibrant reefs, walls, slopes, coral gardens, Biorocks and ridges within 10- or 15-minutes boat ride. Whether you are a seasoned diver or you are new to diving, we are here to make it happen.
Fun dives are available to all certified divers. All our dives are guided underwater exploration tours and you will get to see the best of the dive sites with an experienced divemaster or instructor. Due to prevailing currents, most Gili dive sites are best seen on a drift dive from a boat.
The dive sites around the Gili Islands have a great marine diversity with sought after critters like ornate ghost pipe fish, frogfish and nudibranchs. But also reef sharks are frequently spotted as well as octopus along with tuna, barracuda, trevally and occasional passing eagle rays.
Oh, and did we mention the turtles? The Gilis are known as the turtle capital in the world. Rightfully so! Both hawksbill and green turtles are abundant and it is hard to do a dive without seeing one of these magnificent creatures.
The Gilis offer great diving all year round with the dry season running from May to October and the possibility of a shower from November to April. This doesn’t usually affect the diving though.
Our dive boats are scheduled to depart three times a day. You will have plenty of options to see the beautiful underwater world of the Gili Islands. Our times differ slightly from the timelines of most other dive operators on the Gili Islands. This is not to torture you out of bed earlier, we simply try to make sure that we have the dive sites to ourselves by leaving at: 08:30, 11:00 and 14:00
We also schedule Night Dives several times a week and offer trips to some Lombok and macro dive sites for experienced divers. Night dives count as part of a 5 dive package. Please note, a night dive surcharge applies. This is the difference from a “NORMAL” dive to a night dive.
Divine Divers is at home on Gili Meno, the middle Gili and island well known for its gorgeous beaches, pristine blue waters and home to the highly instagramable Gili Meno statues (the Bask Nest).

A favourite of many! Turtle City is also called Turtle Heaven or Turtle Point. As the name suggests, it is all about turtles here. The dive site is located north west of Gili Meno and features a large pinnacle with lots of turtles! It is a great sight for all levels of divers.
Around the pinnacle you can also see large schools of small fish such as clown fish, damsels and sergeant majors. If you are looking for turtles, beautiful coral valley coverage with swarms of colorful fish this site is just perfect.
Our underwater backyard and house reef – yet, among the best diving grounds of the Gilis and accessible for all experience levels! Meno Wall features a beautiful vertical wall from 5 to 30 meters which is teaming with marine life and a must see for macro enthusiasts
Do you like turtles? If you are lucky, you find more than you can count on Meno Slope. But not only that, Meno Slope is also home to the famous Bask Nest, also known as the Gili Meno Statues. The 48 human like statues by Jason DeCaires Taylor are arranged in a circular formation to represent the circle of life. Located at 5 meters, they are meant to be a bridge between the human and marine world.
The statues are a great start (or end) for all dives to the Bounty, a sunken jetty covered in both hard and soft corals, and one of the most popular dive sites around the Gili Islands.
A site not to be missed. As the name suggests, we often find whitetip and blacktip reef sharks here. But Shark Point doesn’t need sharks to be an amazing dive site. The site features beautiful ridges with stunning hard corals parallel to the main reef.
These ridges are full of blue line snappers and schooling jack fish and a delight to the diver’s eye.
The main reef is home to octopus, the picturesque clown triggerfish and even leafy scorpion fish. Supersized turtles live and feed in the shallows. This makes Shark Point a delight for both novice and experienced divers.
Attention to all experienced divers who like it deep and beautiful. Deep Turbo is a magnificent dive site with superb coral formations and sea fans that you will absolutely love. The topography is impressive – imagine seamounts covered in healthy corals on a white sandy bottom.
There are also several overhangs and small caves where many creatures live. Many of the gorgonians are home to the elite pygmy seahorse. Being deep (average around 25 meters) and at times quite turbulent due to currents it is best dived by advanced divers on Nitrox!

Please note, the waters around the Gili Islands have been declared a Marine Park. Therefore a one time Marine Park fee of 100.000 IDR has to be paid by all diving and snorkel tour participants. This fee is NOT included in our prices and has to be paid in cash at our dive center on Gili Meno.

Plans change. We know that too. Our cancellation policy is flexible and we are trying our best to meet your holiday schedule and potential interruptions of it.
In the (hopefully unlikely) event that you can’t dive as planned, we will reimburse you minus arising costs such as transaction fees.
Yes, of course, if you are a certified diver, you can join our guided fun dives. However, if you have not dived in a while, a refresher course might be a good idea.
If you have been away from diving a long time, your skills will have gotten rusty. According to some dive organizations a diver who has not dived in six months needs to take a Refresher, ReActivate or Scuba Skills Update course. This is all the same programme but with a different name tag.
We at Divine Divers believe that those statements are a little too broad. Take two potential divers. First, there is a master diver with twenty years of experience who has not been able to dive for a year because of business and family commitments. He is less likely to need a reactivation when compared to an Open Water Diver with no dives after training who has not been diving in six months.
Obviously, the need for training depends on many factors, not just time. Some dive centres act as if the guidelines are law and will not allow divers who have not dived in six months to join them until they take the course.
This is not the case at Divine Divers Gili Meno. We will first look at your dive experience, your comfort level and the time out of water. Only after we will recommend you to enrol into a refresher course or not.
As a general guideline, we recommend refresher training after about 12 months of not diving.
However, we believe that very experienced divers who have not been diving in a while are usually their own best judge if they need a formal course to regain their diving fitness.
A fit-to-dive certificate is a Diver-Medical-Questionnaire filled in from a doctor in which the health professional states that nothing speaks against diving activities. As a general guideline, a dive medical is only necessary for people who are doing courses and who have to answer “Yes” on the medical questionnaire. While some countries require recreational fun divers to also fill in a medical questionnaire (with the potential of having to answer “yes”), this is not the case in Indonesia.
The general rule in diving is: only dive when you feel well!
There are some serious conditions such as epilepsy, active asthma, emphysema, heart disease or haemophilia that could prohibit any diving activity. In case you suffer of any of the above mentioned conditions, it is unlikely that you are certified.
If you are suffering of a bad cold it might also be better to stay away from diving to avoid pressure related injuries.
Postcard-like white sandy beaches, azure and year-round warm waters (28 to 29 degrees), the reef on your doorstep and a great lifestyle. There are also no motorized vehicles, traffic jam or pollution. The Gilis are a one and half hour boat ride from Bali and super easy to reach. Does this sound like paradise to you? To us the Islands are an image of paradise. But that’s not it – the Gilis are known as the turtle capital in the world. Rightfully so, because both green and hawksbill turtles are abundant. Reef sharks are also frequently spotted and there is a broad range of marine life to be met on all dives. The dive sites are rarely more than a 15-minute boat ride away and diving is great all year round.
The dry season is running from May to October and the rainy season from November to April. Rainy season sounds more extreme than it actually is because it hardly ever rains an entire day – expect showers at different severity but therefore less people.
We love what we do and we do it well! We have been in the game for over 10 years as Divine Divers on Gili Meno but our love for diving didn’t start here. Divine Divers has a relaxed yet professional atmosphere and is located in a superb spot on the island: sunset beach. You can end your diving day with your feet in the sand, a cold drink in your hand and watch the sun set over Bali’s mighty volcano.
Apart from that our groups are small and our divemasters and instructors hand chosen for their personality and excellent guiding and teaching records. Our guides take a maximum of four guests of the same experience level into their groups. You will have a lot of choices per day to join a dive because our boats go out three times a day: at 08:30, 11:00 and 14:00.
Furthermore, safety is our primary concern; our equipment is in excellent order and of course regularly maintained. We are committed to offering first-class service and high quality guiding and dive courses.
