The PADI Underwater Navigation Specialty course teaches divers how to navigate confidently and accurately underwater using natural and compass navigation, as well as how to estimate distances and relocate dive sites. It’s a course designed to enhance safety, accuracy, and precision in diving.
Have you ever wondered how your instructor always find the way back to the boat? Underwater navigation is an important dive skill which does not need to be difficult.
The underwater navigation specialty on Gili Meno will improve your underwater observation skills, improves your dive safety and helps you to get the most out of every dive. Be the scuba diver everyone wants to follow because you know where you are and where you’re going.
Upon completion, you will earn the PADI Underwater Navigator certification.
Navigation is a three-dive specialty course and takes approximately 1,5 days.
The Underwater Navigator specialty consists of a theoretical part which includes self-dependent study and classroom sessions. We will introduce and practice most navigation skills on dry land before trying them out on an ocean dive.
The theoretical sessions are followed by an open water dive where you will master the newly learned skills and face some more and fun exercises.
Our diving days usually last from 08:30 in the morning to 16:30 in the afternoon. There are of course breaks in between to relax, enjoy and meet other likeminded people.
Our diving courses on Gili Meno are all-inclusive and you will encounter no hidden costs during your diving journey.
Please note, the Gili Islands are located in a Marine Park. Therefore all divers are required to pay a one time Marine Park fee of 100.000 IDR. This fee is NOT included in our prices. We collect it in cash at our dive center on Gili Meno.

Our cancellation policy is flexible and we are trying our best to meet your holiday schedule and potential interruptions of it. If you book a course in advance but you are then unable to do it for prooven medical reasons, we will reimburse you of course minus admin and transaction costs.
We accept bank transfers, cash and credit cards. Please note, a 3% surcharge applies to all credit card transactions.
We conduct all our courses in line with PADI standards.
