Getting to Divine Divers Gili Meno by Boat from Bali

Fast Boats

The Gili Islands and Lombok are connected to Bali by several fast boat services. Speedboats depart from Padang Bai (East Bali), Serangan (South Bali near Sanur), and the islands of Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan. Many fast boat companies offer hotel pickup services and will transfer you directly to the departure harbor.

Most companies operate two departures per day, usually one in the morning and another around lunchtime.

The crossing time depends heavily on the season and sea conditions. In calm weather the journey usually takes between 1.5 and 2 hours, but during the rainy season it may take longer.

One convenient option is Eka Jaya, which operates a fast boat that goes directly to Gili Meno. Tickets can be booked through travel agencies in Bali (don’t forget to negotiate the price) or directly online at:

When arriving directly at Gili Meno harbour, you can either walk across the island to Divine Divers, which takes about 20 minutes, or take a cidomo (horse cart). Walking is possible but not recommended if you are carrying heavy luggage.

Since Divine Divers is located on the western side of Gili Meno, another convenient option is to take a fast boat from Bali to Gili Trawangan instead. From there you can charter a private boat to Gili Meno, which takes only about 5 minutes and usually costs around 250,000–300,000 IDR. Private boats can drop you directly in front of Divine Divers on the beach.

If needed, we can help arrange a trusted local captain from Meno for a fixed price of around 250,000 IDR. Just let us know and we will gladly share contact details.

Instead of a private charter, you can also use the island hopper boats between the Gili Islands. A speedboat hopper runs hourly and costs about 85,000 IDR per person, while the slow boat runs twice per day for about 45,000 IDR per person. Please note that these boats arrive at Meno harbour, so you will still need to walk or take a cidomo to reach Divine Divers.

On a Budget

If you are a seasoned traveler who doesn’t mind a longer journey and want to travel more like the locals do, the public ferry from Bali to Lombok is the cheapest option.

Public ferries depart from Padang Bai harbor almost hourly and operate 24 hours a day. Tickets can be purchased directly at the official ticket counter at the harbor.

Although the crossing itself takes about four hours, the entire journey can easily take most of the day or longer. The ferry arrives in Lembar Harbor in West Lombok, from where you will need to continue by land transport to Bangsal harbor and then take a boat to the Gili Islands.

This route is definitely the slowest option, but it can also be an interesting travel experience. However, if your goal is simply to reach the Gili Islands quickly, a fast boat is by far the easier choice.
